Canadian Beverage Association statement on Government of Ontario’s Waste-Free Ontario Act

November 26, 2015 (Toronto) – In response to the Government of Ontario’s Waste-Free Ontario Act, released earlier today, the Canadian Beverage Association (CBA) issued the following statement:

“Canadian Beverage Association welcomes the opportunity to work with the Ontario Government to increase the recycling of beverage containers across the province. The Government’s approach to empower producers with more responsibility and flexibility will allow the non-alcoholic beverage industry to build on its long history of environment stewardship, and implement initiatives that increase recycling, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and further develop a circular economy in Ontario.”

– Jim Goetz, President, Canadian Beverage Association
